Tangram has announced Carl Witton as Chief Growth Officer and partner. Witton, who was most recently the Global Business Director for Deltek Agency Solutions [APAC, EMEA, ANZ], has more than 20 years’ experience in working with advertising, digital, PR, marketing and creative agencies.
Witton will lead Tangram’s global growth, focusing on growing the client base on Deltek Agency Solution products such as WorkBook, ConceptShare & Maconomy, The Virtu Group’s Scope software and driving the launch efforts of proprietary product: TEACH byTANGRAM with agencies globally to lead the business’ growth efforts going into 2021.
Tangram’s Sydney-based managing partner, Helen Johnson, says, “I’ve known and worked with Carl for nearly 15 years and could not be more delighted that he has joined us at TANGRAM.
“Our service and people values, vision for the company and our client strategies have always been so well-aligned, making this all the more exciting to be heading into 2021 together to take TEACH, and our partner system offerings, to the market.”
Having been the VP North America for Traffic LIVE from 2012-14, Witton headed up the team based in New York City, delivering Traffic LIVE to all North American networks and independent agencies within the region.
During this time, he spearheaded WorkBook and Deltek’s advancement into the APAC region with major client wins such as the likes of Dentsu, Leo Burnett, TBWA, GroupM, Wunderman Thompson & Ogilvy, as well as a host of independent boutique agencies such as Lion Digital, Lavender and 6E Digital.
Witton says, “I am so looking forward to leading our global push and working with Helen and Christian again as a joint partner at Tangram, this has been a dream of mine for a quite a while, it is where I am best suited, collaborating with a brilliant team of people that is Tangram, striving to deliver our best of class consultancy services, coupled with the world’s best of breed software to all our agency clients, who have had such a rough time over the past 12 months during the Pandemic.”
Witton’s speciality is providing the drive of sales, marketing and services for ERP, financial, production and workflow ad management systems created specifically for advertising, digital, PR, marketing and creative agencies.
When he moved back to Asia in 2014, he was initially the WorkBook APAC CEO, General Director & Partner/Shareholder, heading up the APAC regional teams based in Singapore, Australia & Vietnam.
Following the acquisition of WorkBook by Deltek, he moved into an APAC & ANZ regional role to support the new business growth within Deltek Agency Solutions portfolio. There, he supported existing clients and spearheaded Deltek’s further advancement into the APAC region.
Copenhagen-based Christian Arpe-Hansen, who heads up Tangram in Europe, says, “When we joined forces to expand Tangram into Europe, we knew that we were going to need some top talent to help lead and focus our growth efforts. Having Carl on board, and as a partner in the business, is a perfect fit. We are looking forward to Carl leading our growth efforts across EMEA and APAC in 2021.”
