The Challenge
TBWA is a collective of 11,000 creatives in agencies spanning over 40 countries and since 1993, the agency has been a unit of Omnicom Group.
Tangram started working with TBWA’s European teams in Amsterdam and Dublin to streamline learning and development and standardise training for its agency teams. The existing training process was time-consuming and relied heavily on internal champions to train small groups. Given the high turnover rates common in agencies, when these champions left, they took their knowledge with them, leading to inconsistent training
TBWA wanted to ensure they were delivering best practice training for staff and maintain compliance processes. The focus was on building knowledge in finance, operations, and project management, especially in using Deltek WorkBook efficiently to make meaningful data-driven decisions.
The Solution
Teach by Tangram is an eLearning tool offering interactive inductions and training for agencies where all learning modules are self-paced and perfect for introducing new team members to Deltek WorkBook or refresher training for existing employees. Teach by Tangram was the perfect solution for TBWA.
The agency began with a free two-week trial, featuring modules such as jobs, scheduling, and finance. The team quickly saw how the platform could reduce training time and help standardise learning. Benefits included scalable training, self-paced modules, and the ability to redo or refresh courses, all saving valuable resources and time—ideal for new starters.
With no lengthy implementations or painful setups, Teach by Tangram offered a ‘plug and play’ solution. TBWA simply uploaded a list of users to the system and was ready to go. They then upgraded to Teach Enterprise, which provided reporting on course completion, giving the leadership team more visibility on how training was being adopted in the business. The interactive element further enhanced training effectiveness and engagement.
